Ditiro Capital

Our why

South Africa is a country of significant contrast. On one hand, it is a country with abundant natural and human resources, world class sectors such as financial services, mining and agriculture. While, on the other hand, the country is faced with significant challenges including high unemployment, failing infrastructure, and lack of access to quality education and healthcare for the majority of the population. Ditiro appreciates this dichotomy and partners with innovative, solutions driven businesses that have a track record of commercial success while simultaneously making a meaningful impact within their social contexts.

Who we are &

What we do

Ditiro is a black women-owned and led investment manager established in 2019, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are long-term investors who have our roots in the country, in communities that continue to face the challenges of unemployment, poverty and lack of access to services. We have a keen understanding of the market; and are leveraging our experience and knowledge to achieve our dual objectives of achieving positive financial and social returns through our investments.
We invest in medium sized, unlisted businesses in sectors which have been identified as having sustainable growth prospects, such as healthcare, agri-processing and manufacturing.
We provide growth or replacement capital to acquire significant minority or majority equity interests in these businesses.
Post investment, we are involved in a strategic capacity and partner with other stakeholders in contributing to the value creation process.
We assist our portfolio companies develop and implement a systematic approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (‘ESG’) factors relevant to them.
On exit from our portfolio companies, we seek to achieve the targeted financial and social returns that are beneficial to all stakeholders in that business.
